Saving mountain forest

     Groups of deer (シカ) live in this mountain area. A line of mountainous highland, in Monobe village, Kochi  Prefecture. Every year this group of volunteer perform a green project to save mountain forest from target of the deer.

Branch canopy

Kochi Prefecture is surrounded by mountainous topographic. Monobe hills is in the border with Tokushima Prefecture. In the early spring, we can breathe fresh air in here under the trees cannopy, arround Monobe hills, Kochi, Japan.

Muroto Cape

Located at 33.247224N and 134.1758E, Muroto Cape has a light house that can turn around in 180 degrees. It also has the biggest reflecting lens in all Japan. In the other place, this kind of light houses have been replaced with the new type. Remains this one, it is a special light house. [click image to enlarge]

Floating walker

There are two caves in Muroto Geopark area : Mikurodo-kutsu and Shinmei-kutsu. Both are uplifted sea caves. Some visitors are leaving from the inside part of Mikurodo-kutsu cave under the sunlight. They are floating !….

Route no.55

Route no.55 is the southern route of Shikoku Island that connects Kochi City and the most east of Kochi Perfecture area, Muroto Cape. There are many beautiful beach spots along this route and hilly land on the other side.
